I just wanted to say hello and post a quick picture of my car. I just traded my 03 cobra in for this 01 Vette. I picked it up on Friday and haven't gotten out since 16,600 when I got it 17,111 now . I'll be looking to add some minor mods soon but as of now it is 100% stock right down to the filter.
P.S...For future reference, try to keep rain/action shots like that to a minimum so that the "garage-queen" owners on the forum won't have to run around in agony like their hair was on fire....

Lol, well if you makes anyone feel better it does have a home in the garage and was also wiped dry as soon as the rain stopped.
Although it wasn't mentioned those look like Florida plates on the other cars plus it looks like the same outside there as it has been here all freaking weekend. RAIN!
What's your take on the performance difference between your cobra and now your VETTE!
The Cobra at least mine was much faster in a straight line but didn't handle anywhere near as well or have any kind of civility. The tranny shifts so much better in the vette it's hard to tell they are the same. From looking around it also seems like it is going to be way more expensive to make the kind of power that the cobra makes, you can get 465rwhp for right around 1500 if you look around. I also like the shifter position better in the cobra but that could be from being familiar with it. The brakes while not bad on the cobra are no where near as good as the vette and they had alot more weight to stop. Mine with me in it weighed 3997 which is a pretty heavy pig. Steering feel in the corvette is also another huge difference that I noticed as the faster you go the more loose the cobra felt and it seems to me that the corvette seems to button down when really pushed. Of course all this is based on a very limited amount of time behind the wheel of the Vette. I won't knock my old cobra I loved it until it was smashed by some moron who thought stop signs were optional but I haven't been happier with a car yet.
