Default Good Lord!!! Where does it end!?!??!

This weekend I have to replace my slave and I ain't lookin forward to it at all BUT I start thinkin about things. Like since I have to pull the rear end, now would be a good time to put in 4.10's, and while I have it out I might as well replace the shocks, and since most of the exhaust system is coming out, I might as well install headers (which I have a set of stainless works that I'm puttin on) and while I'm installing headers, I might as well replace the plugs and wires....geez!!!

That's how I am with mods... one thing leads to another.. I operate by the "Well if I'm in there I might as well..."

So last fall I blew off an air tube from my driver's side header at VIR. Pulling the tube to have it re-welded ended up in the following:

*New Kooks race headers w/o air fittings
*Delete AIR pump
*Ceramic coating of headers and mid-pipes that pass under trans
*Adding a termal barrier from elite engineering to my tunnel plate
*New stock valve springs. I hadn't done the cam yet and my stockers had 60k on them w/ lots of track use. I figured if I had to pull the valve covers I might as well
*Dewitts racing radiator with enclosed oil cooler... much easier to install w/ the headers out
*Removed intake maniofld to full remove AIR system, cleaned manifold noticed oil...
*Elite Engineering catch can (after seeing all the oil in the manifold
*Tigershark front end (just because)\
*PIAA fogs because I was doing the TS

I told my wife when I put on new tires I might as well put in a supercharger. For some reason she didn't agree...

I kept telling mine I was going to buy a New C6 ZO6. Instead a bought a S/C.

When she got home from work I said I have something to show you in the garage.

Took her out to the garage a showed her my New Polished Maggie on the work bench.

She said "I'm so happy you got the S/C I thought for sure you going to show me a new ZO6"

Better order anything you need NOW as GM workers went on strike and it's affecting all the parts distribution system too.

Read Bob's post over on the C5 Tech forum.

You know, since you are going to have the exhaust out, you might as well buy a tunnel plate too.

Why in the world would you install headers, new plugs and wires and forget a new intake, cam and heads?

While you're at it, why don't you put a stroker crank in that puppy too? After all, you've got all weekend!

Oh, no problem. It comes apart easy as hell.

It's putting it back together that's a bi-tch.
