Default external air sensor replacement

I haven't found much on replacing the external air sensor. Mine display is stuck on 69 (at least it's a good number!!) after a few days of over 100 degree heat here. I assume the sensor is bad, but wanted to know if any easy fix is out there. As always, thanks for any info!!

It is located on the passenger side of the engine compartment.
it is accessible from either the top or bottom.
It is on the paeesenge side of the fan shroud, about as far forward and as low as you can go...
it has a simple ( blue colord) dry pack connector.
Unclip the connector, use a pair of needlenose pliers to squeeze the pin and pull it out of the plastic shroud.
Buy the replacment at the stealership for about $15. insert it into the shroud and re-attach the drypack connector....
