Z06 shifter question
I have a friend that changed out his 2007 Z06 shifter for a Hurst setup. Apparently he changed out more than just the shifter handle from the pivot point upward. His kit included the linkage and the whole 9 yards.
My question is can this factory setup be used on an '04 Z06 without modification? Is it worth the effort? What should I pay for it?
I have an MTI Six-Shooter installed on my C5 Z06 right now. I have never seen the shifter area of the C6, so I have no clue. Comments? suggestions?
On the forum there is a group buy still active , I think? from Gene Culley for the shift box, shifter, shifter ****, ect. for less than $180. http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show....php?t=1806945
The going price for used would be less than that deal.

The shifter doesn't have any linkage. All the linkage is part of the transmission. The shifter is nothing more than a stick through a donut hole. No matter which one you buy they are all basically the same.

Personally, I think it sucks. MTI will never get any more of my money. They didn't / don't stand behind their products. This shifter has been beat to death in another thread.
