Many of you know that when ECS closes the garage doors for the night or the weekend the interest in going fast for ECS doesn't stop. Everyone at the shop is involved in some sort of recreational or competitive motor sport during their personal time. Whether it is at the 1/4 mile track, on a road course or being competitive running a modified dirt car everyone is busy testing and collecting data which in the end benefits the customers. ECS doesn't just build performance cars they drive the Crap out of them too.
So when ECS got an invite to the Silver State Classic it was hard to refuse. I mean really who could refuse an 1 Mile all out run - no cops - chance to break the 200 mph mark and a 90 mile endurance race averaging over 140 mph - again no cops
Now the problem what car? Solution Black Magic - Doug's personal 1999 convertible vette that holds the 1/4 mile record for a blown vette. Of course running in the 1/4 mile is not the same as running a mile or even running 90 miles so some changes had to be made to the vert to pass inspection and to survive the weekend.
I am sure Doug will post his changes and his overall experience of being able to run freely on an open road, but for now here are some pictures from the Silver State Classic
