Hypertech Problem with my 98, please help car wont start
I have had the hypertech installed for about 3 years now with no problems. I just had a 160 Thermostat put in, so I tried to reprogram my car with the different stat. After it started programming it started to say it cannot be programmed and it shut down. Now I'm getign reduced engine power and low fuel messages on the DIC. The car wont even start now, it tries but wont turn over. So I plugged the programmer back in and it said transfer interrupted and it would restart. SO now it says communicating with vehicle and turn ket to RUN position but do not crank. It's been saying that for a half hour now. Anyone know what to do or can help?

Disconnect the battery for about 30-45 mins and try that, this will erase what the computer has stored, if I were you I would just leave it dosconnected overnight and try in the morning again

For future reference keep in mind that the C5 and the Hypertech are both serious power hogs. You should NEVER try this without knowing for sure your battery is fully charged or better yet, if you have a charger, put it on the car before you start.
