It depends on how low. Add 1/2 quart, see where it's at, then add more if necessary.
BTW, parking the car downhill for a while can result in an erroneous "low oil level" message when you start it back up.

Yeah, that's why they were kind enouph to install a dipstick in the car. Unlike the new BMWs that don't have one because BMW doesn't trust it's owners to be compitent enouph to check the oil.

As a general rule the majority of auto manufactures put hash marks on the dipstick for the full zone. If the oil level is at the bottom of the hash marks with the car on level ground then it will need a full quart. If the oil level is below it will need more and if inbetween the marks estimate how much of the quart it will need. I hope this is of some help.
