Roof Panel Distortion
I've noticed on my new to me C5, as well as all the others I have seen, that the roof panel appears to be slightly distorted. Upon further inspection, it looks like the non removable portion of the roof also has a slight dip in it. You can see it in some of the pics posted on the forum What's up with that?

Nothing to worry about. Came that way from the factory. I think it has to do with aerodynamics. I'm sure someone will chime in with more info.

The "dip" in the halo matches the roof line. I'm assuming the General designed the roof that way for headroom.

That "dip" cost $ 2.7 million to research and engineer. You could bodywork it out but it would take 25 mph off the top speed.
btw, I pulled that $# out of my rear, and I'm not entirely sure about cutting the top speed, but you get the point

every C5 has the dip. even the FRC's have it including my Z06. When I bought my car my wife thought it was wrecked and fixed back up untill I showed her several of my sons hot wheels dinky cars and they all had the dip.

the reason that there is a dip is because the rear latch is too tight
