I will be installing a set of Seat Hoops from West Coast Corvettes. Any tips on cutting the carpet? I have also seen some trim rings or covering around the bar holes. Any suggestions on what to use?

Give this some very careful planning. I basically ruined my carpet trying to cut it freehand. Haven't found a good solution yet. Good news is the carpet piece isn't too hard to replace (once I find the solution).
I recall that a CF member found those trim pieces at plumbing supply. Try a search. I never seem to have much luck w/CF search; might be a good subject for its own thread.
Having not done it ...but it seems that if you know the diameter of the tubes and their distance apart...then making a template would be very easy....making your cuts from the back side of the compartment..up then lay the templates down..cut the circles out..done
do they make these for FRC's and z's?

I cut my own but i'm not thrilled with the outcome, I would suggest that you just go to a local upholstery shop and let them fit the carpet, one forum member said that is what he did and it cost him 45.00, probably money well spent, that is what i will do with my new carpet
