well ive been driving my dads vette around the last few days and its making me want one bad. so ive been looking around and found a 1999 vert with 69,000 miles on it. its anice bright blue with tan leather. they are wanting 22,000 for it, does this sound about right, it seems a little high to me. Ill be trading in my 01ss for this and it will be my daily so i need to make sure im doing the right thing. i would like to hear some opions on the car, heres a link to the car http://www.netlook.com/jump/pvt.cfm?nl=AT10333110
thanks jeremy
It seems to be a bit high to me. When I was looking I took my time and looked at a lot of different ones. I also bought my last two Vette's from individuals I think you can get way better deals and they usually know and have the vehicle history. I bought my 98 Black coupe back in May. It is in great shape it had 75,000 miles. I got it for $16,500 from a lady that just had a new baby and already bought a new car, one that was able to drive the baby around in. She just wanted to get rid of it. So take your time and you should have that feeling when you find the Vette for you, at least I did on my last two.
Good luck in your search!!! I looked for a pretty long time to find exactly the Z06 I wanted, for the price I wanted... The winter is approaching fast so prices may dip a bit...
A little high, but Fla. cars are not going to drop much in the next few months, so don't wait too long if that is what you want.Pay around $20,000 Great color
Yeah 20k would be a decent retail deal. A blue one just like that one just went through the central fla auction on 9/12/07 and it brought
18.5k before auction fees. So if you could get it for 20k or less it would be a pretty good deal.
22K does not sound that high to me for a vert. I'm sure you could get them down to 20-21 no problem. It looks verrrryyy clean. of course if it were me I would go looking for a 6 speed over an auto. all real sportscars are sticks!
It seems like a nice deal for a clean car. Since it's a dealer I'd ask for some form of a warranty. Also see if they will put the car on a lift so you can check it out. I'd check out the top, they shrink over time, and wear at the pivot points. Also maybe a free Mobil 1 oil change? It doesn't cost anything to ask. Good luck. Please post pics. David
