I just followed a link that indicates the serpentine belt should be changed at 50K miles. My '02 convertible is my DD and I now have 52K miles. I am going to the gulf in two weeks from central Arkansas.
Should I have the belt changed?
What should I expect to pay to have it done?

Sounds like a good idea as 52K is starting to get up there a bit. BTW, the belt change involves a "they" not "it". There are two belts. I can personally recommend the Goodyear Gatorbacks as replacements. They are a much better design that the stockers or the Gates/Dayco belts.

I changed mine at approximately 50k while changing the oil sending unit because they were showing signs of cracking. Better safe than sorry.
