well i was on the way home today and reached under the passenger seat to get something and got a nice second degree burn on my hand. the front motor that controls the passenger seat was hotter than a firecracker. so i pulled over and checked it out. the seat seems to run just fine. up down front back and incline etc just fine. the rest of the seat was cool. right now it's elevated to let the motor cool off. i will check it in about ten minutes to see if the motor cooled off any. and i am suprised the fuse didn't blow. so i guess i have a short. any idea what i can do?
Can you hear the motor running when you aren't pushing the seat buttons? I heard it running on mine and pulled the fuse to get the seat motor to stop. I happend to have a shop appointment today and mentioned it to them. They said it's a known problem that a spring sometimes breaks or gets loose and gets stuck in the on position for the seat buttons.
I don't know if that is of any help but couldn't hurt to mention it.
Best of luck.
