OK, I'll be odd man out...I quit using them years ago having found them to cause noticeable swirls in custom base/coat clear coat paints on show cars (white/red and white/green). These were cars that were only for show, never daily driven and otherwise covered and garaged. Nothing else could have caused the damage. Maybe the Corvette base coat/clear coat is harder.
I also formerly used KOZAK towels and discontinued using them for the same reason.
Well I stopped using it also, I found it left like filmy, streaky marks on the car . . .but . . .I think I might have had my wife wash it.
So, I probably should go get another one and just let it go. From what I'm hearing here it will do a nice job if left alone.
When they are new before they are "seasoned" some of the paraffin in the duster will show as streaks. Just wipe them off and keep using the duster as it will stop after a few uses. I think you are to take it out of the package for 24 -48 hour before 1st use.
The info supplied with duster says you should let it set on newspaper for up to 72 hours to help remove the excess parafin and prevent any swirls, you will have to replace the newspaper a couple of times during the 72 hours.
