Anyone know if GM will be releasing a crate LS3 motor with the proper trigger plate on the crank to make it a plug in LS1 replacement? I know they made some LS2s like that, but what about the LS3?

Why bother? You can have a nice forged one built to your specifications for less than the cost of a GM crate motor.
I want to put a new stock motor in my car and also have 80 more HP.
My car has 80,000 on it and when it reaches 100,000 I am going completely thru it and virtually make it new again.

I think you underestimate the LS1, it will still be going strong at 100,000 miles.
Besides, the LS3 should make the LS2 crate engines cheaper. Aftermarket is still the way to go for engine replacement. Just because it's GM doesn't mean it's better. If you stayed GM with an LS2, at 400+ hp I doubt you'd notice the difference of 30 hp THAT much.
You could easily build up an LS2 to exceed an LS7 if you wanted.
I have adds for LS3's for $4,795, which is lower than the LS2 and LS6 go for. Not sure if one can build a motor that will delivery close to 400RWHP for this amount, check out the C6 section, many 08 owners are seeing close to 400 RWHP with just a tune.

80K miles? Your car isn't even broken in yet. There are plenty of forum members with close to or over 200K on theirs who haven't even cracked a valve cover to replace anything, and they're still going strong. Save your money, if you really want 80 more HP stick a cam in it, get headers, and have it tuned.
