quick hood seal question...

Default quick hood seal question...
i know many of you buy your hood seals from either vendors or that auction site...but I have been told to just run over to home depot and buy the right seal for a fraction of the price. No vette tax at the depot! Anyway, for those of you who have done that, what size/kind of seal am I looking for when I go? Thanks in advance

You wont gain any hp from it if you dont pay the Corvette tax.

Seriously, Im not sure about the size but Im sure someone will chime in with the answer.

I'd like to know also. I just lost mine when my front bumper cover was replaced last week.
I had the "real" one, but I think I'll give the HD one a try.

My post might not be useful at all but I will deposit my .02 cents either way .. I bought my hood seal from Ecklers .. definitely no HP increase but keeps the engine bay clean!!

Bought mine from the auction site, not sure of the size but, I'm sure size matters.

3M sells the perfect matching seal. Don't waste your time settling for something else and might cost even more than 3M's product.
