The Reason I asked this question is because I am and I havnt had any problems with it at all except for the oil pressure switch. To be completely honost I cant figure out why it was a manufactuter buyback. According to gm report ther has never been anything wrong with it 3times for the same thing in a year and according to the carfax report all work that was down on it was basic service work and brake work. Like I said I havnt had half the problems some of you have had.....
How did you know it was a lemon law buy back? Does it affect the price much? How about the pink slip? Is it treated like a salvage title? I always wondered about what the manufacture does with these vehicles.

I'm guessing that in some cases they are donated for charitable raffles, drawings and quiz show prizes and the mfr takes a tax deduction, when possible.
In Michigan if a vehicle spends 30 days or morein the shop during the first year it is a Lemon law buy back...
I had a 2004 SRX that I got on Dec 17th, by the 20th it was in the shop and it stayed there until Jan 29th.... By the second service issue it was already over 30 days in the shop on a 3 month old vehicle....

It said it in the carfax report before I bought the car. It also says it on my registration. My cousin was a dealer wrench for years, and he said the manufacturer buys it back has to replace or rebuild every thing that is wrong with it, then it has to go through a state inspection and after it passes that it can be resold. Price does drop some, but you atoumaticly receive a 1 year service contract free of charge and you can add 2 more years on at a cost to you. Like I said I have had no problems and everything works perfect........
