Stupid question..windshield washer sensor
Not a major problem by any means, just an annoyance. While doing some engine detailing the other day I accidently knocked the fluid sensor out. Popped it back in real quick before I lost too much fluid but it hasn't worked since. Every time I start the car I have to reset it. Someone posted something about the sensor only going in one way for it to work properly. Looked at it but doesn't appear to be a top or a bottom. Anyone know?

i did the same thing if my memory serves me right there is only one way to reinstall the sensor plus keep in mind the amount of fluid you lost is probably below the sensor add some fluid and see if that works....

I would assume the sensor needs to be inserted with the articulated arm in the down position. The circut is closed when the arm is straight. So i am assuming when the float arm drops to a certain level the circut opens and gives the indication of low level.
