catch can

Did a search and found some info saying a catch can traps oil before it gets to the intake.
Is it necessary to prent this.
What is a good quality can

I have the Elite Engineering catch can. It's a great unit and it works. The photo shows the typical amount of oil it collects every month or two depending on how frequently drive the car. An added benefit is the significant reduction in the amount of black soot that used to accumulate on the rear of the car every time I drove it. It's almost non-existent now. Go for it...

Just get one, you have been given some great choices in this thread, I have the one from AMW (before the others were on the market), the one with the most Vette tax and it works fine
