i just bought my drilled and slotted rotors from adam and he installed they look great
i would post pics but i cant get them to upload on forum for some reason
he also sells them on e bay also
but they are awsome rotors and they look bad azz
I bought the slotted ones off ebay. I stayed away from the drilled due to the cracking issue. They have been on for 4 months now, and I am happy with them.
Just FYI, confirm with BREMBO that their rotors are actually made in Italy...someone posted not long ago that they're actually made off shore now (along with BAER rotors). Apparently, GM rotors are made in Brazil and/or Canada now.
I'm also researching rotors and trying to avoid off shore made products.
There is an ebay seller that sells "Magnum" rotors and I think that they have a reaasonably priced Canadian rotor. That's what I'm buying...drilled and not slotted.
I just want to say for one if you drill or slot a brembo rotor you are no longer allowed to say it is a brembo rotor. You can get is some serious trouble. That goes for a lot of companies.
It is true that most rotors do come from China now. From what I have found the Canadian factories are gone. I bought up the last of the Aimco Canadian rotors and sold them here on the forum for a killer price. Since then I have been trying to find a Corvette rotor not made in China.
Every casting company is looking for cheaper ways to make rotors to compete with the Chinese rotors that are being sold like crazy on eBay.
As for the cracking I have had only two problems with the Corvette rotors and both of them said it was there fault. One guy said he was hold the brake and pushing the gas to burn out. I offer a 6 month warranty on thing like cracking and warping and I will work with you to replace your rotor. When it comes to things like burning out with the brake on I can't cover that. I would think the corvette would have enough power to do this without using the brakes.
We also offer a dimple instead of the drill. I will also ask you what kind of driving you do and help you choose the best style rotor for you. If you said you did track racing at all I would suggest that slotted only or dimple and slotted would be the best way to go.
Search "brakedesigns" and check us out or call in and ask for Vic and I would be glad to help you out. I'm not here to take your money, I'm here to sell you something you will be happy with and if that is referring you to a different company I will do so.
Oh and also if anyone has had my rotors crack on them please tell me. I would like to know and I would also like to help you out with replacing them. If you are under the warranty still I will get you a new rotor right of way. If your not under warranty I'm sure I can help you out on buying one rotor and a very low price for being a return customer.
