I am chomping at the bit to get an 08 coupe the only problem is I'm tied to a lease. I've run across a company named SwapLease that says they can get someone(credit worthy) to take my car and they will pay off my credit union and I can walk away. The cost to me is $499.00. Ok forum brothers and sisters should I bother. They handle all the paperwork and will advertise the car all over the US. If this is pop please humor me and give me your opinions. Thanx.
They are a legit company that brokers people who want to get out of a lease with those who want to acquire leased vehicles for a short term or to buy at the end of a lease.
One of my colleagues sub leased then bought under the lease rights a Lexus through them. Was able to buy the car under market.
The company will also find you a leasing company to acquire a new vehicle.
I am going to use one of those I found through Swapalease to get my '08 its over $200 a month cheaper than through the dealership...How???
easy GMAC charges 10.4% on leasing... these guys 6.5% secondly they get their cars at Fleet cost not Stealership market....
Take your leased car into the Chevy dealer and tell them you want to trade it in on an 08. Get your payoff on the lease+residual before you go to the dealer. Maybe they can make it work for you.
I traded in an Acura GSR years ago that I had over a year left on the lease. I ended up getting more for the car at trade in than I owed on it.
Good luck.
