I tend to cruise in the vette, but that because it is an auto. Also because I like to get noticed! When I drive my 5-speed yellow 88 Fiero GT, Speed Racer watch out! I love the exhaust note on these little cars. Honestly, I think a manual gearbox just makes me want to drive more aggressively.

Simple anwer, the Vette is more fun to drive I had 3 F-bodies before the vette, and they were fun too, but in a different way.
I still drop the hammer all the time in my vette (to enjoy my mods ) but there are times when I'll just cruise and jam tunes.

Even my wife has commented on the difference. Have I contracted some kind of disease or infection?

After reading all the responses I am comforted to learn that I am somewhat normal. And I agree, cruisin in a Vette you do not have to prove anything. Trust me, the HP and Torque is not going to waste. But for those of you that commented on the wagon wheels, so far money has gone into mods. (see avitar pic) 3.42's next week. Can't decide on wheels. Love the white Indy wheels on the Z though.

You're on top of the hill and have nothing to prove.

I slowed down even more after the blower. I'll still get on it and have fun at night when the roads are empty or on on-ramps, but normal driving I cruise in the middle lane at 70-7mph.

That and having the S/O in the car also prevents any mischief.

This is the reasoning I have come to. My Twin turbo 3000gt could easily be confused as N/A, and the Z28 could be confused as a base to people that don't know any better.

With the Vette, I feel like people already know what is under the hood and I don't feel the need to prove it to them, although I do still love to do some "spirited" driving sometimes.

As a side...my dad's name is robert thompson..but with a "p"
