I bought and installed LG Pro LTs w/cats and Quad Borla Stingers over 2 years ago. I've had ZERO problems with the setup (no leaks, rattles, etc) and get TONS of compliments; best mod I've done yet! The sound is eargasmic! There is a little drone around 1700rpm but that's the Borla's and not the LTs -- nothing a down-shift won't fix.
After professional PCM dyno tuning my car gained ~35rwhp/30rwtq.
^^^ It will be loud on startup, mine is but I do have a decent sized cam. Once your rolling and not in the throttle in the situation you mentioned, it won't be too bad. I can cruise through a neighborhood in second and its fine. FrankTank said it well in post 21
So at low rpm's like 20 mph thru a residential street will I be waking the neighbors. I just dont obnoxius loud.
At idle and low RPMs (1500 or less) the car emits a very low rumble. I have a 6-speed so I can easily control the volume. I often leave my house (as quietly as possible) around ~6:30am and I've NEVER had a compliant from neighbors. I don't think an A4 would be much different at low speeds.
The catalytic converters make a big difference in my setup (LG Pro LTs & Borla Stingers) -- without cats the noise is definitely louder and more harsh sounding. If you decide to go cat-less then I would go with something closer to the Z06 TI cat-back. Given the high-flow cats only rob ~5hp I'd put them on if I were you. Not only will it smell better, but it'll sound cleaner too!

that is the nice thing about corsa's is with headers you can cruise by and they are faily quiet, won't wake the neighbors unless you hammer on the throttle... but yea upon cold start up it can be a little loud until it idles down a bit.
I will be adding either ARH or LG street series soon to my Corsa Pace car's. Just wondering if any difference in the sound? Not looking for too loud. Thanks
I just had Kooks LT headers installed a couple months ago, and yes, you'll definitely notice a difference. With mine, I can really hear the difference over about 3,000 RPMs. If I step on it even a little, it'll scream...and I have GHL Magnum straight-through mufflers, so my car wasn't exactly quiet to begin with.
Kooks 1 3/4" with 3" high flow cats and 3" exhaust back to B&B Route 66 mufflers.
Nice growl at low speeds and part throttle, no drone at highway speeds and you can carry on a conversation without raising your voice.
WOT is pretty loud but still not obnoxious, it even passed the wife test!

You wont sound like a school boy in a jacked up pick-up with glass packs....and it will be a big difference over stock both in sound quality & performance gains.
Good Luck!
Just my opinion.......have an 05 Vert.....put GHl's on.....absolutely LOVED them.....PERFECT!!! Then did AR's with HFlow Cats.... a Vararam and a tune........very disappointed in the sound. Really nasty drone in 6th or at 1600 RPM. Power is beyond belief......gained 47.3 RWHP......but I'd trade the HP for the sound I had before the AR's
