This morning when I came up to the car, I realized that my fob didn't unlock the passenger door. Once I got inside, NONE of my controls worked for the right side. I couldn't unlock the door, move the window, or even move the passenger mirror.
Then, on my way to work my stereo cuts out and my dash lights up like a christmas tree! I mean EVERYTHING was lit up and the car was beeping at me. My DIC was displaying "Reduced Engine Power" and was saying service everything (active handling, traction system, and others I can't remember). I don't know WTF just happened, but it isn't good.
Please help!!!!

is there moisture in the passenger foot compartment , or has maybe your battery been leaking it's guts out and runnuing down into the cars computer that is in the footwell
I'll check but it is a brand new battery. I had the dealer replace it before I drove it off the lot (it was dead and needed a jump for the test drive!).
Send a PM to forum member BillCurlee, also look at the thread at the top of the page in the C5 Tech section with regards to electrical gremlins. It could be a simple ground issue, or worse case, your PCM or BCM is fried
Is it still doing it now if you start it? If so, when its "lit up" open the drivers door and move around the accordian piece that has the wiring running to the door in it. Pop it off the door or the body and move the wires around a little. If it goes away you have an issue with a wire, probably going into a connector in there.

Damn. I sure hope that isn't the case.
My car responds to the FOB though (drivers side only). I'm going over the manual now to see if it is a possible fuse problem...

I'll head out to the parking lot in a second to start her up.
Car starts fine. About 5 minutes into driving, everything goes nuts. My temp gauge reads max, fuel at 0, and oil pressure at 0. My DTC reads Reduced Engine Power, Low Fuel, Check Tire Pressure sensor, service (everything). I'm going to clean all my grounds tomorrow morning and hope that does it.
It is odd thought that my passenger side is completely dead...

I had the exact same experience with my 02 except it was the drivers door. I yanked on those wires and all was well. There is a sticky in C5 tech by Bill Curlee that shows how to fix it. It's a long post so keep looking. HTH

Going to try that now. Out to go clean my grounds...I hope this works....

You, my friend, rock. I did exactly that on my passenger door and shizzam! My passenger side came back to life.
I wonder if this is what was driving my computer nuts.... ....more to come later!
Thanks again all for the great advice! This forum is the BEST resource for Vette owners.
Ok...problem found. I fooled around with the wires on my passenger door, and it came back to life. I then went to go pick up my pates, and the car was perfect. NO computer issues. So it looks like I have a connectivity issue with the harness on my passenger door.
Its amazing how one small glitch can muck up the entire electrical system....
