Today, i tried to install isimple to my 99, with trunk cd changer .
It worked really well, like chare, change songs, in the first 30 minutes
. Then problems start coming out.
I install it with 3,8 dipswitch on. i unplug the cd-changer wire, plug it to PXGM1 cable, then to the isimple.
The problems i have are
1. Only the right side of stereo works
2. IPOD not getting charged.
3. wire, isimple box, get extremely hot. cant even touch them.
Can anyone plz help me with these ???Thanks so much

Sounds like something fried in the interface. It shouldn't be getting that hot. I'd suggest trying to find a help line phone # on peripheralelectronics.com. Good luck.
I did mine a few months ago. I am not having any problems with it. My interface box does not heat up. It sounds as though you miht have a bad interface box. Every now and then my IPOD will lock up for a few but other than that it is great.
I had the cd changer in the back so all I had to do was unplug from the changer and route the cable to the center console. For the interface box to be heating you have a bad connection. Does everything work correctly otherwise??
Went to Best Buy, spent $99 came home, 10 minutes my iPod was rockin!
I have a 12 disc changer in the trunk. Set the 3 & 8 Dip swtich to ON. Unplugged the wire harness at the CD changer, used supplied wire harness to connect the iSimple and ran the 12ft supplied wire to my iPod in the front. Auxillary on and I was jamming.
It even charges the iPod! So I would suggest unplugging from the car when not driving.

I think the sound is great! I am usually going to fast to worry about the quality. Plus you get all the mixes you put together on the iPod.
The seek feature on your radio will forward to the next song. The volume control is also the radio not the iPod. For 10 minutes and 99 bucks, you cant go wrong
