Default Where to fill Differential

I posted a thread asking about how to replace the rear diff seal. Common problem I found out, but I have one more question.

Where do you fill, or check the fluid level in the diff? I have a 6 speed. I see a fill point on the driver's side of the transmission?????

Thanks much

A smarter man than I once told me..

The differential has 2 10mm hex plugs, one for draining, I believe it's on the passenger side at the low point. The fill plug is on the rear of the differential facing the back of the car.

Use the same method, drain then fill. The Differential takes 2 quarts of fluid.

There is also a picture in the owners manual Page 6-22, here is a cut and paste, no picture though.....

When to Check Lubricant
Refer to the Maintenance Schedule to determine how
often to check the lubricant. See “Periodic Maintenance
Inspections” in the Index.
How to Check Lubricant
If the level is below the bottom of the filler plug hole,
you’ll need to add some lubricant. Add enough lubricant
to raise the level to the bottom of the filler plug hole.
