On your car I'd pick the black, but I would do so with the understanding that it's a violation of VTL. (not getting nutz about it, it would be an unusual ticket, but the fact remains).

I really like the blacked out look better than the Clear. No offense to the guys that have clear lenses but they always remind me of the little ricer cars euro lights... My Z is white so I thought about the clear lenses but if I do anything I will NightShade (Blackout) all my lenses.

Its your call!!!

I say paint it the same color as your car and if you do it just enough, the red will still shine through. Here is an example on my DD, the repeater shines orange.
