Default ellectrical issue

heres the deal... the window switch lights work. the dash, radio, hvac, and traction control button lights all work. the rear view mirror lights work when i push the buttons to turn them on. but when i open the doors or trunk (yes, in the dark), the 2 lights under the dash, the 2 lights in the mirror, and the 2 lights in the trunk dont light up. blown fuse? i think i shorted something when i was swapping out the light under the passenger side dash

edit: i cant spell haha. how do u edit the post title?

Check the fuse. If you did short it out it should be blown.

Sounds to me as if the "door open" or entry switch is bad.

Get in, close all doors, start car, and open the driver door. Does the display say "Door open" or "Door Ajar" ?

if not, my bet is the door open / entry switch is bad.

HEY, im not electrically challenged haha. It was the fuse. For some reason it was labeled as "diagnostic" in the owner's manual. Fuse 29 in the passenger foot well, by the way.

It was labeled "Diagnostic" since it also provides 12v+ to the "Diagnostic Link Connector" aka: OBD-II port, in the driver kick/lower dash area.
