Default Hooker Exhaust question

Does anyone here have the Hooker exhaust system installed on their ride? I just acquired this beautiful 2002 and was eyeballing new systems. The price is unreal at only $368 roughly. I plan to go with an X pipe as well to balance it out and keep it from burping upon decel. I don't want to go too loud, but I don't want to replace it with a system that sounds basically stock either. I have Flowmaster 40s on my 1980 with headers and the droning can get kinda old after a while. Can't really justify spending $1K+ for some other systems. Also, am I correct in assuming that X-pipes are pretty generic as far as interchangeability with various systems? eg Magnaflow X pipe used with Corsa pace cars

thanks in advance for your inputs

I have it and love it. Here is a thread with a lot of great info, including my sound bites on it. It is deep and throaty with no drone at all.

They are similar to the Flowmasters! and they have a good sound to them!

Another option you could do is try the Titanium Z06 exhaust they to are a chambered system w/no fibeglass packing and flow real good! I know 565RWHP and it sounds and comes out real good!

IMHO!

Thanks,Matt

I tried to buy these, but everyone was sold out. If I could have gotten my hands on them, I would have.

Don't worry. First time I tried to buy they were sold out, I waited and called every 2-3 days and they were back in stock in no time. They restock a lot and you can get them no problem.

I have them as the only mod on my box-stock daily driver. They sound great; authoritative, but not overly intusive. They are well made, tips look good and if you don't need or want to spend a bundle, they're an excellent choice!
