OK, need some help from you Z experts. Here's the scoop:
I'll have to travel 1200 miles to get it...
2002 EB Z06 48,000 miles
Interior looks very good
Having well respected Corvette guy checking it out tomorrow.
I know it has just a few small road rash nicks on nose, but none on hood. It also has some very fine rash around rear brake vent scoops(?). Nose was re-sprayed about a year ago.
CarFax is clean, showing 2 owner and no issues.
GM repair history shows battery, windshield wiper motor, Fuel sender/pump assem recall and steering column recall, rear compartment lid lock striker and a piece of weatherstrip.
I'll know more after expert inspection (up on lift to check for any accident, leaks or other issues, a drive to check engine and trans, and a visual for interior and exterior), but I believe this car has been well cared for, just owned by one of us who believes CARS ARE MADE TO BE DRIVEN, not to sit in a garage.
So, what do you think she's worth? And how much do you think I could save on any given car if I wait until Jan-Feb (as I've been told several times)?
I would be willing to pay $24-27k depending on how mint it was. You can find a car similar to that at dealer for $27-28k. And for $29+ you can get a car with under 20k miles on it...
probably worth 26/27k on paper...but EB seem to draw a premium.....so real world value may be 28/29k. Good luck and hope you get it....love the EB Z's!

Thanks guys (and gals)...
Where's it located? I know of one...possibly two for sale in GA. 02 EB Z06's.
With those miles I would say somewhere around 28-29K would be a fair price, some of these guys got killer deals or live in dream land. Some of the people you see post here with these crazy deals spend 6 months to a year looking for cars and throwing tons of lowballs till they find something. I love the posts saying 24K-27K...... Where are these cars people?????
My bro just picked up an 03 Eb Z from a local dealer for 30k with a little over 30k miles. Probably could have found one cheaper but this one was perfect for a 30k mile car (showroom fresh).

02 red Z with 2,400 miles sold in San Antonio for $31,500. Absolutely perfect condition. I test drove it.
I would not pay more thand $24k for the one you described.
Whenever you ask what ANY car is worth on a forum like this, you will get some strong opinions and all kinds of price ranges. As MVR said, some people live in dream land or in fact just get killer deals. And others just get plain lucky in their searches. If you're looking for the world's greatest "deal", then take all the time you want to shop around and haggle with these sellers. Autotrader is a good place to look to get an idea on prices. I got a fairly average deal on my '02 EB, but that's fine cuz the car is in great shape, and I'm very happy with it. Take your time, shop around, get expert opinions... but ultimately get the car YOU want at a price YOU are comfortable with.
And to answer your question, I'd say 26k to 29k depending on condition. How are the tires? How are other regular maintenance items (fluids, brake pads, etc)? Post some pics on here if you'd like.
Here's what I got from my "What's the Value" question: I averaged all the responses (total of 6) and what you guys gave me was $26,250, which is within 4 of your ranges, over one ($24K - $1K lower than KBB "Fair" value) and under one ($28-29). I'll let you know that seller and I are at $25.5 right now and pretty sure I could drive home for $25 even.
I'll know a lot more after trusted vette guy checks it out this evening. One thing I'm curious about is that none of you seemed to comment or be concerned about rash and nicks on nose and near rear brake vent scoops, so I assume that this is within normal range.

Thanks for all your help. This forum is awesome.
Peppered rockers, rear brake ducts and the rear part of the rear wheel opening are very normal, the stock F1 supercar tires are quite sticky and pick up alot of rocks so the lowers of the car tend to take some abuse, couple that with GM paint quality and after 10-15K miles you can usually see some tell tale signs. In Illinois we have alot of gravel pits so there are tons of sand/gravel trucks on the road, I would imagine a car in my area would likely get the peppered rockers sooner than other areas. As far as the front end goes that has alot to do with how the car was driven.... following closely to other cars will speed up the process of chipping the front cover. For 25K its a steal as long as it drives solid and has a clean car fax.... even if you need to throw new rubber on it..... for that price go for it.
Hopefully one of those MIRACLE deals in the making
Car is being inspected by a reputable Vette guy as I write this. Should know this evening whether I get on a plane Friday morning and drive her back to Texas this weekend. Already got some ballpark estimates on repainting nose and rockers by good shops and would feel OK doing this if mechanics and interior check out as suspected.

Dang, you sound like you know what you are talking about. I am impressed. Seriously.
You know that it kills me to be so complimentary; my usual responses are very sarcastic. Have not had coffee yet; maybe that is reason.
If it is the car you want... stop arguing over $500 and buy it. I agree with those that say you are getting a good deal. I paid just under $30k for my 02 with 12,000 miles on it about a year and a half ago. I thought I got a good deal (nothing spectacular). Looking back, as long as I could afford it, it was worth it because it was the PERFECT one for me, color, condition... everything I had ever wanted. I wouldn't sell it for $30k now regardless of the actual value. If that is the case with this one for you BUY IT!!!
Whoever said you can't buy happiness obviously never owned a Z06...
Designer Imagines A Corvette That Looks More Like a Corvette Than the Corvette
