Default NOS Guys chime in!!!

Thinking of doing NOS on my 03Z. What input can you guys that already have it give me? Dos and don'ts. I plan on only doing a 100 shot. What are the chances of having some kind of backfire and destroying my motor? Is It worth it?? Thanks!

Spray a dry shot between the filter and the MAF. The car will tune itself that way but def check AF on a dyno to be sure you're safe. Use a WOT switch and a window switch and you're good to go. You don't need injectors or anything as long as you stay below 475 RWHP.

A 100 shot is perfectly safe. I would personally get a wet shot and get it tuned for it. With the wet shot you do not need to upgrade any of your fuel system, with the dry you WILL have to do injectors with almost any shot. Make sure to get all of the extras to optiamize the kit (i.e. heather, purge, window switch at the very minimum). Also if you do the install make sure all of your wiring is top notch! And if your system is installed correctly there is little to nothing to worry about.

The huge backfires you see are from wet shots and fuel pooling in the intake. Talk to Robert56 (he's in charge of the fast list sticky at the top), he knows everything about setting up a nice/safe reliable dry shot on your Z.

Let me know when your ready, I have the kit you need. I run a NX kit dry with dual nozzles jetted for 100hp. I have the nos controller which locks out first gear. I have it set to spray off a throttle micro switch on 2,3,4 gear between 3k rpm and 6300k rpm and i shift at 6400. With drag radials and good driving it will put you deep into the 11 sec zone. It's a nice feeling when it kicks in.

Nozzles are hooked up as Higgs Boson stated.

I'd like to know which Dry kit to get and what supporting parts are needed.

An idea of total cost would be nice to know as well.

I already have a kit in mind. I found someone to install for around 300. One question...... with a 100 shot on my stock 03z could i get at least close to c6 z06 power and numbers?? 100 shot should get me close to the 500 hp range if i am correct. Jumping from the factory 405 hp 400lb torque, what kind of numbers could i expect with a 100 shot? Thanks!

A dry shot will get you 500 hp and even more tq, maybe around 530 (at the motor). WHP will go from 350 or so to 450 and maybe 480 tq but only while spraying of course.

I can post some details later. Over 200 sprayed dry passes. I have hit my stock motor all the way to 285rwhp, allthough a little to much to late in the game. We did run two seasons above the 200rwhp hit in dual stages. So, the stock motor can take a 100 hit all day long. Yes, the dry hits are much safer and the way to go these days. On a 170rwhp shot (1st stg only) I made over 300rwtq gain. Highest tq hit on stock motor was 665rwtq. I can link ya to my more mild dual stage thread, that went 550rwhp and 636rwtq and the run in my sig, a detail list of mods needed to safely run at this level or less if ya like. Also, for insight ls1tech-check the thread on wet vs dry, mucho insight.
Good luck, and these guy's are giving you some solid info.
Robert

Running 250 dry in 2 stages.............100 = no problems

Just do your research and dont be afraid to ask questions, even if they are the same ones over and over untill you get the answer you need.
