I’m thinking about installing a supercharger, what kind would work best on my 2004 LS6? Maggie, Vortech, Procharger, ATI ect… Which one whines the least?
Vortech SQ trim and Paxton Novi 2000 are the quiestest. They are so stealth that you cannot tell they are there at all. Its impossible to detect them in real life unless you film them and mic picks up the sound.
I would call A&A or ECS for more detailed information.

OK, so the whine is part of the excitement, I can understand that, which type/style of SC is preferred?
Your going to get many different opinions (every body has one). I think it depends on how you want to spend, what is the purpose, how much power do you want, how much power will you want later, do you want to replace your hood. These are only a few questions to ask yourself! I wanted around 500 rwhp. I got 517. I like the look of a Maggie. The hood was an added expense. The new hood looks way better. I don't need anymore power. Do your home work. One supercharger is not better than the other. They are all lots of fun! Good luck and be safe!
Spending time with my daughter at the shows.

If you go with Maggie/KB: You'll need a new hood, have awesome torque down low and power through the band. Very loud whine
If you go with a centri, Vortech/Paxton/ATI etc, you can fit it under your stock hood and make some more power at the top end. Quieter whine in comparison, more whoosh, also
It really does come down to preference really. You can't really go wrong, but the fact of needing a new hood or not usually makes people go one way or the other.

A PD blower will give you more low rpm TQ and will make a whine when you open the throttle and start pushing some air.
A Centrifigul blower will give you more upper rpm HP. Some are quiet, some make a loud jet sound at idle. The Novi that ECS is suppose to be pretty quiet. I'm not sure about the Vortech that Andy at A&A sells. But if I was in the market, I would call both places and pick there brain. Go to some races, track events, or cruise in, and see if you can find someone to give you a ride. It's a lot of money to invest in your car, so take your time in chosing.
I like my Procharger because mine is a dd, and I don't need all that power all the time, but know that it is there in the upper rpms if I need it. That being said, at track days, you have to stay in the high rpms to get use of that power. Mostly, what distance I lose at the beginning of a straight, I more than make up by the end!. It really depends on what you want to use your power for. The Procharger is a good fit for me.
