If you remember back when they posted these same kind of drawings of the C5 a couple of years before it came out, the pictures were almost dead on. I think I like this design.
I like everything 'cept the staggered tail lights. Something just doesn't look RIGHT with their different heights!
The front end is OK, but I think they could do something a little different than the recycled C6 nose. I do like the side view far better than the current gen however. Almost as nice as the C5 FRC!
I don't like any of the concept drawings at all...
They really need to get back to the drawing board and come up with something else...
It would be nice if they brought the FRC style to the C7 Z06 and keep the hatchback styling for the base C7 model, it follows a tradition more than anything... from the C5 standpoint. I think the Z06 model should look a bit more "track oriented" when it comes to the styling. Not saying the current C6 Z06 does not look bad-***, but a FRC version would be hot...

this is the very reason I didnt get the New Z kept my 2001, and added my favorite all time Viper, the ACR favorite color combo Black with silver racing stripes.
The actual production car will probably have the normal GM 3" tire to wheel-well gap and much smaller wheels with a much larger sidewall. But the body styling portrayed is an improvement over the current C6.

The tire to wheel gap is an internal GM requirement so that you can put CHAINS on the car and not foul the bodywork...

you'd think they'd loosen this requirment on a world-class sports car. For goodness sakes GM, take a look at a factory BMW, Porsche, Mercedes, Audi etc... and get a clue! We don't want to put chains on our Vettes.
