OK , so we talked about how much -is too much lead weight.Seems like 3OZ. is about max. ......... When the vender (Discount Tire) was spin balancing my tire it visually looked out of round. When he checked for concentricity ,the run out at the rim O.D. was OK.....Butt you could see the spokes appeared to be out of round.I bet thats why he needed 6OZ , Yes 6OZ of lead to balance the tire......... I guess I'm going back to Discount Tire Today.. And thanks for all your imput.

If you just bought the rims and you can see that one is bent I would have them get you another one for sure, For what one pays for rims that is unacceptable for sure.
I dont think it is bent.I believe the casting itself is off center , however as long as the O.D is machined concentric to the I.D it will pass inspection. Remember most aftermarket wheels are made in China .
All three of the other wheels balanced out with what appears to be normal weight. And by the way I just returned from Discount Tire and the are ordering me a new wheel . Although they think its my tire. Yea right........ It was ok before I came here. I also believe its not good for your tires when they stick PRY bars under the beed to assist with the removal of the tire...The side wall on these run flats is so thick and too much Prying can't be good either.
For what its worth. I purchased the Ruff racing wheels and took them to a very reputable tire shop that uses Hunter roadforce equip. When he mounted and spin balanced the first wheel on GY GSD3 he came out and asked me to come back to the Hunter machine. He asked me if I spent alot for these wheels? They do look every bit as good as many of the high priced wheels. I told him no. He said the reason why he asked was that they are taking alot of weight to balance. He showed me on the Hunter machine that they were dead on 0, but I had noticed that he did have on the inside of the wheel approx 5 stick on weights in 2 places. He said usually the GY's are very easy tires to balance with. Bottom line my car runs and feels great on the wheel/tire package that I have. I wanted a more comfortable ride and the difference fron the run flats are amazing. I were a racer I may not have opted for these more cost efficient wheels if the extra weight could be an issue..

How else do you expect them to get the tire off the wheel? You're supposed to push the other side of the tire into the drop center so the tire doesn't have to be pried as much.
