Back up sensor/alarm
I've always been concerned about the blind spot behind my C 5 when backing up. Went on line and found the answer. American Road Products makes a sensor , actually four, in their "Reverse Guard ' that are part of the supplied license plate frame and that solves my big concern 'cause there is no way I was gonna drill four holes in the rear for the sensors. The back up light activates the sensors and supplies the DC power and the ground. The entire workings fit behind the trim in the rear compartment and the small speaker will fit just behind the drivers left ear on the trim with no wire showing anywhere. The area of coverage and alarm pulses etc is the same as I have on my other cars (factory installed) and at pennies less than $200. a lot cheaper. The installation took about 45 minutes. Altho enough wire is supplied for a four door sedan etc, (too much for a Vette) DO NOT CUT THE WIRES FROM THE SENSORS since they are precisely measured to do their job. There's enough room in the area behind the trim to hide everything. Their phone number is 1 888 918-8800 in CA. No, I do not have any interest in the vendor AT ALL.
