I got some used wheels and tires from a forum member. He lives in Texas im in Toronto. The tires are michelin pilot sports. Canada customs inspected my items and said they wont release the tires because there from france and there used. What the hell is wrong with this story??

I picked up a set of Firestones (made in Japan)from the states and had no problems @ the border.
They were new.Not sure if that would make a difference
I don't see how that could be a problem... Maybe you can go to the border, pick them up,, go to a garage in the US install them on the car and then drive back.. nothing to declare ..
