What does your owner's manual say about it?

Pull the codes from the DIC and post them....probably minor and you can reset the codes and walla light is gone!

Default check engine light

Pulled codes after I got a check engine light. Code PO410, which I searched is a air sensor code. I reset, but it comes back after about 5 starts. Do I need to replace the sensors, or is a program needed to clear this. No mods. Local corvette shop says $75 to clear code. Thanks

This is normal, clear your codes and it will be back to normal.

1) Turn on the ignition but don't start the engine.

2) Press the "RESET" button to turn off any warning messages

3) Press and hold "OPTIONS"

4) While holding "OPTIONS", press "FUEL" four times within a 10-second period.

Initially, on-board diagnostics go into an "Automatic Mode" which shows diagnostic codes in a pre-set sequence: PCM - TCS - RTD - BCM - IPC - RADIO - HVAC - LDCM - RDCM - SCM - RFA. All codes will be displayed for each module. If none are present in a given module, you will see "No More Codes" on the display.

To reset the codes once in manual mode, press and hold "RESET" until it displays "NO CODES". Press "OPTIONS" to go to the next module. Repeat the steps until you have reset the codes in all the computer modules.

Your method did cancel the light.
But am I ignoring a problem?

Eeek I responded to your PM same comment.

For the others this was my response:

No, the problem was you had low voltage on the PCM. That made the computers upset and thus they set codes. Whether you knew it or not, your system was placed into a disabled mode and if you have been driving it you probably were getting horrible gas mileage. That is by design.

Clearing the codes just reset the condition as long as you now have good voltage you should not have any of those codes re-occur. Matter of fact even while it is running, you can activate and view the codes to see if any occurs. You shouldn't see any unless you have other unrelated problems.

Also, if you have not dealt with the service column lock issue by adding a bypass module or having rev C of the recall done, you can expect the service column lock to show its ugly head on you. It is generally caused by low voltage on the powertrain control module.

Did the column lock by adding a bypass module not sure what you mean by the rev C recall?
Thanks, Tom.

Thanks, Tom.
This is the recall notice:

Recall Bulletin
Rev C means they first do the K harness, then the reprogram and finally remove the steering wheel and replace the column lock plate with a modified plate which is missing the holes for the pins to go into. Supposedly fixing the problem.

I did the bypass module too.
