I don't know what they are rated to tow, and I'm not going to find out.

I was told if you install the performance hood seal you can tow a 40 foot boat.

However if you dont....

Owners manual = Zero Towing Capacity. Unlike a normal 1500lbs for a car.

Here are two photos of my hitch

It is rated at 2,000 pounds gross weight with 200 on the hitch itself.

It is fine for light loads and tows nicely.

That hitch is fairly unobtrusive.

the hitch is not bad at all .
Towing a jet ski is about all it towed .the ski looks behind the vette .
took it out now because i bought a yukon to do that
but towing a boat ? i don't think so

I would have taken his roof, though. It's not like he would have been needing it any longer.

Default Teardrop hauler

Since we sold our Streetrod, we pull our teardrop with the Vette. It weighs 800 lbs and pulls and stops just fine!!

Have seen a few pulling light loads (like a jet ski) but not one pulling a boat. I don't think I want to take the chance on pulling a heavier load with a C5.
