I was told if you install the performance hood seal you can tow a 40 foot boat.
However if you dont....
Owners manual = Zero Towing Capacity. Unlike a normal 1500lbs for a car.

Here are two photos of my hitch
It is rated at 2,000 pounds gross weight with 200 on the hitch itself.
It is fine for light loads and tows nicely.

the hitch is not bad at all .
Towing a jet ski is about all it towed .the ski looks
behind the vette .
took it out now because i bought a yukon to do that
but towing a boat ?
i don't think so

But to the orginal question, I have heard of towing a trailer with a vette, but it really is not set up for towing anything.

Since we sold our Streetrod, we pull our teardrop with the Vette. It weighs 800 lbs and pulls and stops just fine!!

Have seen a few pulling light loads (like a jet ski) but not one pulling a boat. I don't think I want to take the chance on pulling a heavier load with a C5.
