October 23, 2001 . . .
. . . is the birthday of my '02 TR C5. I took delivery 6 days later and the rest, as they say, is history. Truly high on my short list of life-changing events. Certainly, it affected me far more than I ever suspected it would. Mrs. Patches and I love mine so much we bought her one too!
Thanks to the Corvette Design team and all my buds here on the best damn forum on earth for 6 wonderful years of Corvette bliss!
A few pics to commemorate.
That fateful day. Dave Durepo, my sales guy, presenting me with my first Corvette, a lifelong dream finally realized.
The mods started immediately! In fact, I had mods waiting in the garage weeks before the car was even built - all your fault here, by the way.
Here, you see me doing a spark plug change - think I got a little carried away.
Lovin' the Corvette lifestyle in Atlanta, GA.
With the Mustang GT "sacrificial" daily driver. It gave it's miles daily so the Vette could live on as the weekend warrior. (New dd on the way, btw.
)
At the new and current Indiana home.
Mrs. Patches joins our ranks April '07 with her '02 A4 and now has a C5 obsession that rivals even the most fanatical amongst the sick legions that frequent this forum and similar Vette venues.
We consider ourselves truly blessed and give thanks for our family, friends and good fortune.

My 2002 was close to yours... born on July 17th 2001... and was also driving it 6 days later.

I, as many on here over the years, appreciate all your contributions and help you have provided in pursuing our passions of modding our vettes and providing the confidence to do so with all your thorough step-by-step procedures you've provided over the years...

It's hard to believe 6 yrs has past soooo fast! This past Sept was my Vettes 6th B-day however it did take a little bit longer for the mods to begin but happy to say never ended and just kepted getting better Happy Birthday Patches
