Default Clutch pressure

At one time I drove a 98 Z28 LS1 with a 6 speed. The clutch could become a little tiresome due to heavy pressure needed. I read that in 2001 the clutch was made a little easier on the pressure needed to disengage. Has anyone ever drove a newer 6 speed vs an older 6 speed? I like 6 speeds but sometimes they wear me out.

I've never driven the z28, but my wife is 100lbs and has no problem with the Corvette. I think it's a pretty easy clutch.

For what it's worth... I think the clutch on the C5 is comparable to other V8 cars with a stick. But, I will say before starting the car and putting the clutch in the first time, its definitely heavier.

Only you can really answer your question. Go out and test drive a 6-speed C5 and see if you like the clutch's feel. If not, then maybe an automatic is the way to go.
