Many have installed the Cleartastic if that is what you are referring too.
Opinions differ - some like them, some don't.
As to 'being visible' - on your black Vert I doubt they would be noticeable.
As a note - DO NOT allow these to be applied for a few weeks (since you just had the Vert painted).
Also - although some people have done this as a DIY - the best method for installation (IMO) is a pro - seen them done both ways - the pro application was much better.
I have installed Cleartastic Polyethylene film on my Black Coupe. It was not difficult, I just took my time and it came out great. The most important thing is to get them in place, as far as pressing out the air bubbles, don't go too crazy because you will never get them all out. Some will come out as the film dries. As long as you place them properly you will be fine. Make sure to let them fully dry before driving.
If you look closely you can see the Cleartastic lines, especially where there is overlapping. There are also a few stubborn air bubbles in mine but you can barely see them outdoors unless you get right up to them and are looking for them. Air bubbles would probably be invisible on lighter color cars. Without the protection your paint will become sandblasted and that is much more noticeable than film lines or a few air bubbles and paint damage is not reversable.
3M film is applied with an adhesive by a professional installer and is virtually undetectable but is much more costly and not easily removable or re-useable when removed. You will still be able to see the film lines if you look closely.
