Default Wow!!!!

I never knew that Corvettes were so fast. My Z06 is just crazy fast. I took a buddy of mine out last night for a couple of launches. We both had 350z's but his ex-wife is hiding the car from him.
After just one launch to 95mph he was sold!!!! He is going to trade in the 350z for a Z06 when this whole divorce thing is finished. He said that he will be up all night because of the rush of being pushed thru the seat. He called the G's felt a Z06 face lift. He was considering putting TT on the 350Z (which is still a great car and has a special place in my heart) but I told him to save the money because a stock Z06 will beat a TT 350z any day of the week. One question!! Did anyone else have whiplash the first week of owning their Z? I did

I know how you feel, but take that car onto your favorite twisty road and you'll be twice as impressed. I just finished a week vacation where several of my friends brought the motorcycles out and we hit the canyons 3 days straight, and not one of them who had a ride in the Z06 wasn't flat out amazed at how good this car performed. It goes like stink, but it stops and turns in even better and sticks like glue once it takes a set in the corner. I lead one charge through my favorite canyon road (Latigo Canyon for those in So Cal) and only 1 of the riders could stay on my bumper, 2 others were a few minutes behind after 15 minutes of hard driving.

This car was built for corner carving!

I thought it was just me....
This is my 13th Corvette, (2003 Blk/Blk Z06) and I just picked it up Last Friday when I flew to Florida and drove it back to NC. Somewhere north of Tampa I stopped by a service station. I gassed up and put a fresh coffee in the cup holder. Entering back onto 75 I noticed cars coming up, but nothing in front of me. I used the ramp as a slingshot running through the gears winding her up tight. (note, there were no cars in eyesight in front of me) My first realization was that I am going far to fast. As I shifted from 5th my heart was pounding and I let out of it. That is when I noticed the HUD showing 155, WOW! It was still pulling like a freight train before I let out.
This is the fastest car I have ever owned, hands down. I can't explain the perma-grin on my face the rest of the trip. I stopped in Savanna for the night and could only sleep 4 hours. It was as though I was 7 again and my Christmas present was waiting outside the hotel door.
They just won't know unless they do it them selves. The E ride is almost unexplainable, you have to expierence it.
My avitar hasn't cought up with me yet.....

Its good to see that there is someone that appreciates the car for what it was made for instead of obsessing on quarter mile times.

You guys should have seen the look on my friends face when he lost 2 times in a row to my stock 04 Z which I bought last Friday. He has a 88 notchback with a built 351, slicks and skinnies up front. Race took place on a closed course of course.

Hard to beat these cars for what they offer - I still love mine and can't get enough of the rush.

I can't wait to take me and the wife up to Estes Park in the Rockies. The road from I-25 is a beautiful drive with tons of twisties. I just hope someone slow doesnt get in tha way. I am serious about the whiplash. My neck hurt for like the first 3 days of ownership. ALSO, for a 1 1/2 bad crack in the hood what are the options. I know buy a new hood but i wonder how much a body shop would charge to fix.

Stock c5 hoods are so cheap it's not worth paying to fix it. Put a WTB in the for sale section and I'll bet you can find one for $100 (probably in the same color), maybe even a freebie if someone needs garage space.
