I was driving down a major blvd with wife last night and came up next to a beautiful new Mustang Cobra (I love American muscle what can I say?). This blvd's speed limit is 50, but runs past courthouse as you travel towards police station which makes 50 a real 50 especially for a red Vette or hot cobra. When the light went green the cobra hopped on it a bit then slowed to let me cath up, and we cat and moused the rest of the lights (no chirps and pulling off at 35). Anyhow, it was fun because we were the only two cars on the road, and we were both admiring each others hotrod (his view was surely better than mine). At the end of the game, we both laughed and waved....
Was this a sin? Will I go to Corvette Hell for playing such a silly game?
Feel free to flame me harshly if I broke the code
The new Cobra's are pretty, and sound great too, but I'm certain the guy wished he'd bought a Vette
Absolutely nothing wrong with that!! As being a Mustang owner, I admire you and him for both waving. Its very hard to see people who are so stuck on one thing that they can't admire all kinds of American Muscle. ( Although I'll be moving to a C5 in the near future )
Similar situation with me running into a Terminator. I smelled race fuel up ahead and caught up to him and we just paced each other and gave props at a stop light. He said he was pushing 700rwhp . My favorite mustang for sure.
I was in a similar situation, except the mustang was a stock GT and he gave me the thumbs up afterward. I didn't respond - makes me feel like a bit of a snob. Good call on returning the wave.
If you're sent to "Corvette Hell" for waving to a Mustang I guess I'll be seeing you. My brother has a '06 GT convertible & we cruise together all summer. We appreciate each other's cars & have a blast. We do get quite a few comments.
