The Ultimate Wave!
I take the same route home from the office everyday. Since the weather has been very nice lately, the Evil Kenevil LEO's are out more now and have taken up squatters rights in a parking lot just a few streets down from my office looking for perpetrators of red light running and a those a little to enthuasitiac about getting home to quick.
So, I pull out of the lot, hook a quick left at the light, full well knowing where they are, and to my surprise, one of the two raises a hand with a BIG
Wave! Of course I waived back and smiled while at the same time checking the speedo... just to make sure!
Thought that was a nice touch to an otherwise often times misperception of some of our local LEO's.

There are a lot of cool LEOs out there. My daughter starts the police academy on the 29th. If she makes it through 5 months of rigerous training, there will be one more Vette friendly one out here.

I was rolling slow, windows down and with my music up a little, and two moto cops were parked at the edge of a driveway. As I passed, I heard one yell something, and in a slight panic. I hit my brakes lightly, and nervously thought to myself, "what did he say?".
I look over my shoulder, and one of them were waving.
I kept driving. Thank goodness he was a Corvette fan.
Still don't no what he said.

Only step above this is getting pulled over just so the LEO could get a better look (admiring) at the car. Hasn't happened to me (C5 too common I guess), but my friend was pulled over when we were in his 1964.5 Mustang (completely redone, lowered shelby suspension)... he only asked him to him to pop the hood and rev it up Gave us a and said to slow it down a tad.

Remember - most LEO's are young men that have very much the same interests as we do - many of them ARE us...they just have a thankless job to do.
I'll bet the fellow who waved enthusiastically at you was a vette owner himself.
