Just pulled the trigger on that auction site exhaust. They are out of stock but if you buy now they discount the final price $50. Which almost brings it down to what the GB price was when this exhaust first came out. Anytime you can pick up something like this for under 5 bills its a bargain. I've read great things about it. The only drawback is the clamps. Not such great quality. but for a couple bucks more I'm gonna grab some good clamps from my local parts hut and i'll be good to go. I'm collecting parts for my winter mod projects. I already picked up the wcc x-pipe for the sale price of $176. Next up is rims and refurbishing my tire pressure sensors which are going down one by one, very annoying BTW. When i get really bored i'll do the rocking chair fix on my seats. I'll take my time and try and get through the winter.
I have the exhaust you are referring to. I bought mine from Granatelli Motorsports. $500 delivered to my door. Not a bad deal, I thought.
I really like the system. I mentioned the thing about the clamps to my installer, and he said they were OK and didn't have a problem with them. They may not be the greatest, but they will work.
I own an A4, and am not running an X-pipe. Really don't think it's needed.
I'm installing the x-pipe to limit the gurgle and pop on deceleration. I have an m6 and when i was running BB Bullits The popping was annoying. I'm looking for a cleaner tighter sound.
