Default yet another 01 question....probabe issues...?

As I get closer to bringing a Car home, I drove a very nice Silver 01 today close to home. Dealer lot...

I did perform a full functionality test before driving the car and all things worked..

While driving though, all of a sudden the AIR stopped blowing cold and the Turn signals stopped working..No errors displayed. Headlights did indeed come up but still no turn signals, in or out.

I messed with the Gauges buttons and a few other buttons, and during this time reset the seat memory, then all of a sudden the AIR started blowing cold and the Turn signals stared working...

I drove back to the dealership and everything was fine, I keyed the car a few times then the signals went dead again. the Salesman was with me the whole time and experienced the same questioned look that I had( have) .

This is a nice clean Silver car, it does have some sort of front plastic air dam and after market Wheels which don't really excite me.

the car runs very fine shifts great, strong, no tranny or rear noise at all...

Oh and it has some sort of after market exhaust, Borla I think, to me it sounds more like a European Car rather than a Detroit 8 cylinder...it is really friggin' loud...

I still like it and it is in my range but I need to ask about these issues mentioned above. Price is negotiable and even the dumb Doc fee can be waved...

thoughts ?

thanks

t

HUMMM... I would really make sure the problem is corrected by the dealership.. If they want your business they'll fix it... TELL THEM to FIX it before you buy the Car. HOW many miles and for how much? Electrical problems can be expenisve to fix.. Does it come with a Warranty??

If this isn't a Chevy dealer, take the car to one, have them run the VIN plus put it on their computer and do a check for any error codes. If it is a Chevy dealer, have them do the same; either way should identify any problems the seller needs to correct.

You only drove the car once and it exhibited these weird issues? I'd look elsewhere if it were me, I'm sure there are plenty of others in your area for sale. Plus, if it has things you don't like on it (i.e., wheels and exhaust), that's just going to be more money out of your pocket to replace them.

yes it is a Chevy dealer and yes they said they would fix it.
That being said the purpose here is for learning.

Intermittent problems like this are a deal killer for me but hearing what those in the know have to say is a learning experience, which is what makes this particular forum so valuable.

Given this car has things that I do not really like it's easy to walk from it.

Asking price is mid 20's, mileage, 60K, overall condition is very very clean...easy to see this car was well cared for with no significant abuse. Excellent running and driving.

thanks
