you can cover your vin number but i have to see how it looks
I'm not for sure if this would help, but there is a Vin number tag attached to the inside of the glove box. Of course, you also have the Vin number between the dash and the windshield.
I had heard the build sheet is in the rebar under the front bumper cover.
Maybe you should repost, with a request for the labels from a 2000 c5. That might get you closer to what you need. (Sorry, mine is an 03 so I can't help.
I do not think you can just take a pen and write it on the tag. I would ask your local police or where you register the car what is required. Here in California the police will give it a new number when brought in from another state or country. As stated your VIN number is on the dash and in glove box. This door tag you have is only the basic information. The one decal that says (date 10/00) shows it is a 2001 made in Oct of 2000.
