My 2000 vert is showing the following error code for the Seat Control Module: B2172
According to the list of codes posted on the forum, B2172 is "Seat Front Up Switch Shorted to Ground." I'm assuming this means that the button that raises the front of my seat is shorted out (which is confirmed by the fact that the front of my seat won't raise when I press the button on the side of the seat).
My Question: Does anyone know what I'd need to do to fix it? Replace a fuse? Replace the button? Replace the whole Seat Control Module?
See if that code says H or C. H means history and it's fixed the error although it may come up again. If it says C next to the code then it's a current problem that is not going away.

Regards and good luck with it, I hope it's a H.
Its definitly a C, so its current, which I'm sure is why the front of my seat won't raise up when I press the button.
