I know that there used to be a guy up the road from the old Capitol Corvettes.
I'm very familiar with him and his past dealings. However, I hate to inform you that he is not only out of prison, but has a hot rod shop on the east side.

I think I'm going to get the oil changed for storage and maybe get a better look at the oil filter area at that time. Then I'm going to check it for leaks and put it into storage. It's maybe going to snow on Tues. so time to say good bye to the Vette. I'll take some pics of me and the car before I store it and post them. Cindy
As stated earlier, this isn't a common problem. However, two looks at it with the same answer should be a good indication of what you need. Given the choice I'd pick T over B to do the repair. Keep in mind you don't need a dealership to do this work.

Well, I went to my local mechanic where I get my oil changed and they checked the oil filter and pan gasket while I looked on. It's definitely the pan gasket so I guess I'm going to have to pay the $675 to have it replaced before storage.

I just had our 03' AE vert at the dealership. The mechanic is a member of our Corvette club and is a trained Corvette specialist. He has worked on several club members vets. Thank God for our GMPP warranty.

He replaced the defective drivers door module, left rear oil seal and replaced the leaking upper and lower oil pan gaskets.

He said to remove the upper oil pan the engine cradle needs to be removed. That includes disconnecting all of the suspension to get at the pan. When this is done they have to realign the front end.

The car only has 17,000 miles on it. David
