Default Relocation of the computer

I keep reading about damage to the computer.
This includes water damage, acid damage etc.
Coes anyome make a harness where you could move the computer to the rear of the car or elswhere to prevent damage?

Thanks

I can't answer your question but I recently installed fender vent screens and had to take off the lower inner fender liner to get at the passenger side vent. That's the liner that covers the computer and tons of wiring.

I found that during assembly, one of the ribbed wiring protector sheaths had been trapped between the seal of the lower panel and the upper panel. As the seal integrity was compromised, dirty water had been dripping down on my computer.

It's a dumb-*** joint anyway as the lap of the joint is in the wrong direction. Running water could flow into the joint and only a sealing strip keeps it out. I guess if GM designed a fish they would face its scales forward.

If fixed that by caulking the joint with butyl rubber caulking. Good job I decided to fit vent screens or the water would have been dripping onto that equipment for years.
