Default Requesting picture please defrost vent

Could someone please post a picture of the complete defroster vent on top of the dash. Through the windshield is perfectly fine. Looking to see if there is some kind of plug that covers a hole on the drivers side of the vent or if it is visiable.

Thanks

Tried to take a picture, but no good. The hole on the driver's side is on mine too, not plugged. 99 coupe. I believe that may be where the twilight sensor cover goes?

Hi rspreng_02 -

I believe you are seeing the ambient light sensor - it is on that grille on the C5 dash.

On so equipped cars, it is used for one by the HVAC system - the climate control takes into account if it is sunny or dark when computing the necessary amount of heating or cooling....

best regards -

Thank you mqqn, De_Vette and DefenderC5 I had the HUD display replaced by the dealer and I was looking at the vent and noticed the hole. Did not know if a plug or screw went into it. The hole on the driver side is there anything in it? I can see straight down on mine. I have the black dome sensor on the passenger side just wondering about the driver. Thanks a bunch.

For the record, I don't have dual zone climate control either. So I don't have any of those fancy interior temp sensors. My single HVAC is vacuum actuated and looks like it is straight out of a chevy silverado or malibu... lucky me.
